Books For Youth
Our store
has recently taken part in a program called Books For Youth. This
program gathers and collects books for underprivileged children. For
more information about this project, you can go to their web site,
www.booksforyouth.com. If you would like to make a donation, you can
come into the store on workdays Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. or on Saturday 9 a.m. to noon.

Author
of the Month This Month's Author of the Month is O. Henry, commonly referred to as the father of short stories. While in prison after being convicted of embezzling funds, he wrote some of his short stories, and after prison, went by the name of O. Henry to hide his indiscretions. Book of the Month This month's Book of the Months is by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and is one of his many Sherlock Holmes books. Entitled The Hound of the Baskervilles, this collective mystery is an excellent story of Holmes and Watson in their most famous dilemma yet. For more information, go to our Book of the Month page. |
